Mostly the pere marquette when I get the chance. Although I only make it maybe twice a year. I am hitting it for salmon in about 3 weeks.

7 yrs....cant beat that, but I did go about 3 yrs from the time I first started steelie fishing until I got my first one. That was pretty brutal. Since then probably the longest has been about 7 months between spring and fall. Although a couple years ago I did have a bad fall season and dont think I landed any of the ones I hooked so that may have been 1 yr between

I can live with the 7 years now going on 8...it's a standing joke amongst our crew. The best part is the first year I ever went fishing for Steelies, I hooked them all day long. We had a pod of about 20 or so all day...bright sun...beautiful day...I just couldn't seem to get a good hook set...and was holding the line with my other hand...yep live and learn. Stull trying to shake the skunk but enjoying every trip. How many guys you got going SD?

Theres 3 of us staying at the Outdoor Inn for the whole trip (Myself , Fatbluegill(Randy) and AlG (Todd) from TFF. I believe there will probably be about 2-4 others from TFF that will show up for at least a day during the trip, but I dont know if any of them are actually staying for more than the one day.

Normally we have about 8 guys for the trip every year, but this year one of them scheduled a trip to BC during that time, one is out of the area on work for the next year, one is laid up with back probs, so its down to 3 main guys this year.


You'll have to get together with us this november on the Au Sable and we'll get ya into some steel.
