Home Made Stripping Basket 3 Months ago Karma: 3
Since we're heading into the "Surf" fishing season for Lakers/LRB's/Kings/Steelie here now I have been meaning to get a stripping basket because 75% of the time I'm picking my line out of the rocks at the outflow of a river mouth I like to fish on Lake Huron.

After looking at the Orvis, WJ's, Cabelas as well as about 2 or 3 other brands they all pretty much sucked in my opinion. I wanted something that not only could be strapped to my waist but also could sit on the ground in front of me to leave my hands free and none of them fit the bill.

So today I picked up a $7.99 Kmart dish washing basket which already has a nice rubber matt built right into the bottom as well as ventilated sides which will act as drain hole. Then went to the sporting goods section and picked up a $3.00 bag of golf tees. Epoxied the tees in rows in the bottom, and for a whopping total of $10.99 I have what is the perfect stripping basket for my needs
