Smallie Overload 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 1
Well, hvent been getting out a whole heck of a lot lately. That combined with life beeing rather high stressed lately has meant that the few outtings I have had have not been particularly enjoyable.

Decided to get out and Hit the Grand River in Paris, Ontario for a few hours today and see if I could manage to bring the stress and anxiety level down a few notches. Well after several cast with the first chosen fly and not a hit it didnt look good. Switched flies and cast, Fish ON!!!. Well thats a good sign i figure! Cast #2 with same fly, Fish On!!! I went 6 fish on the first 8 casts with that fly! # for 3 on the first 3 casts! All told after about 5 hours on the river I lost count! But got into at least 30 fish. The largest in the 14-15 inch range. and MANY in the 12-13 inch range. Theses are some of the hardest fighting scrapiest smallies I have ever cought, even the 12"ers put an impressive bend in the 8wt I was using.

Unfortunately no porn this time around. (was too lazy and having too much fun to pull out the camera) But there will be some to come later. plan on spending the whole day Saturday on the water.

Needless to say the stress and anxiety level has subsided slightly!

Was mostly just Wooly bugger variations. and all in some form of olive/green color. Gonna have to tie a bunch more before the weekend, will get some pics.

Your right there Steve. Salmonfest certainly would be a cure. Unfortunately after almost 10 months unemployed the finances are a little ugly. Will have to try to arange something, maybe for some steelies during one of my short return trips home.
